This is his worst charting ever, all 3 of his previous albums had debuted in the Top 5. The album features production from Cool & Dre, The Runners. Rockwilder, Dre & Vidal. The album wasn’t a commercial success but I believe its sigels best album.

Jay-Zs 10th album debuted at #1 on both the Billboard 200 & the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart selling over 425,000 copies despite being pulled off from the iTunes store. The album debuted at #2 in the international market selling over 455,000 copies. The album’s number one debut tied Jay-Z with Elvis Presley for the second most number one albums. American Gangster was recently certified Platinum, after selling over a million copies in both the worldwide market & the U.S., the album also became Jay-Zs 10th consecutive album to be certified Platinum. Diddy & his Bad Boy team handled majority of the albums production, other producers on the album include Just Blaze, The Neptunes & DJ Toomp. Overall I think this is one of Jay-Z most complete albums, it falls just short of The Blueprint & Reasonable Doubt. The album would have been even better if it didn’t feature Hello Brooklyn, the song is nice but it doesn’t go with the albums overall flow, besides that I think Diddy & his crew did a great job on the album.
