15. Chamillionaire – Ultimate Victory (Sept. 17)

Chamillionaires sophomore effort debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 & # 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album Charts selling over 79,000, it has sold over 200,000 copies so far. Chams debut album sold over 1.5 mil in the U.S., sales mainly fueled by his Grammy winning collabo with Krayzie bone (Ridin) which spent 3 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 06. Chamillionaire became the first hardcore rapper to not receive the parental advisory label on his album. Overall I dig the album, I don’t think its better than the first one though.

14. UGK – Underground Kingz (Aug. 7^th)

UGK’s 7^th & presumably last album (R.I.P. Pimp C) & first to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 after a fifteen year career. The album also debuted at #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart selling over 150,000 copies in its 1^st
week. It has sold over 500,000 copies to date reaching gold status. The album is a double disc & features over 20 artists. Lil’ Jon, Jazze Pha, Swizz Beatz, Scarface, Marley Marl, DJ Paul & Juicy J helped out with production.

13. 50 Cent – Curtis (Sept. 11^th)

50’s 3^rd major label release & in my opinion his worst so far. The album is not bad its actually very good but it doesn’t compare to his 2 previous classics. The album debuted at #2 on both the Billboard 200 & the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts despite selling an amazing 691,000 (his worst opening week sales after signing a deal with interescope). 50 & Kanye became the first artist in Billboard History to sell over 650,000 copies in the same week. Despite Kanye selling more records in the U.S. 50 managed to beat him in the international scene debuting at #1 and selling over a ridiculous 2 million copies in 1 week (which is a record). The album has sold over 1.2 million copies in the U.S. so far. Some of the album’s producers include Timbo, Danja, Dr. Dre, Havoc (Mobb Deep) & Eminem.

The album debuted at #8 (their 2^ndhighest charting since Living Legends debuted at #3 in 04) selling over 50,000 copies, it has sold over 200,000 Copies to date. One of the games best lyricist, Talib dropped his 4^th solo album in August, it debuted at #2 on both the Billboard 200 & the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts selling over 60,000 copies giving him his highest ever charting. The album has sold over 175,000 copies. Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Just Blaze & Hi-Tek are some of the producers that gave a lending hand to the project. As usual Talib ripped it on eardrum it just falls a breath short of The Beautiful Struggle.
